Against the backdrop of the widespread "cold winter" in the steel processing industry, the largest seamless steel pipe factory in China, Tianjin Steel Pipe Group Co., Ltd., has seen a counter trend in exports. Not long ago, the company exported 94000 tons of casing to the Middle East, setting a record for the largest single export order in the company's history.

In recent years, the domestic seamless steel pipe industry has suffered from severe overcapacity, fierce domestic competition, and increasing export pressure. To cope with this situation, the company is consolidating its domestic market share while increasing its efforts to expand into international markets. Since 2011, the company's seamless steel pipe export volume and export foreign exchange earnings have remained the top in the domestic industry. During the 12th Five Year Plan period, the cumulative export of seamless steel pipes was nearly 3 million tons.

According to the relevant person in charge of the company, the company has established a large-scale marketing network overseas, with 14 trading companies and offices located in major markets such as North America, the Middle East, Africa, East Asia, and Southeast Asia. We have established 4 inventory points, 17 special authorized processing plants, and repair shops overseas.

In 2009, the company's first overseas project for processing in Indonesia was completed and put into operation, achieving localized processing. In August 2011, Tianjin Steel Pipe Group broke ground on a steel pipe project in the United States, becoming the largest "greenfield" investment project for China's manufacturing industry in the United States to date. The project has now been put into production and the second phase of construction is progressing smoothly.

At present, the company's overseas expansion has achieved initial results, becoming the only Chinese special oil casing manufacturer accepted by the Abu Dhabi company in the United Arab Emirates. Mobil is the only supplier of pipeline pipes in China, and Total is the only supplier of special oil casing in China. The submarine pipeline breaks the monopoly of foreign companies in the North Sea and Gulf of Thailand markets, becoming the only supplier to China.
